RAF HARROWBEER YELVERTON

On the 26th September 1942,
No 312 (Czech) Squadron held
a ceremony at Harrowbeer to commemorate the second
anniversary of the formation
of the Squadron.

As part of this event, a Catholic
Mass was held in one of the
Bellman Hangars. This B&W
photo was taken during the
service.

Note the Spitfire in the
background which had been
involved in an accident on the
airfield and was under repair.
The Altar is a Miles Magister!
