             The Allan
Williams Turret was for airfield defence. Manned by two crew members
              with
a Lewis Gun, who entered through the (now buried) entrance tunnel which
can be seen extending out to the front-left. The turret could be rotated
giving a limitless field of view.

          There were (apparently)
          several of these
turrets around Harrowbeer. We have found three, this one near the Bomb
          Store, another
by the 'Rock', and one near Whistley Down.

We are also told that there were only ninety
of these turrets installed across the UK and
one can be found on Exmouth seafront.
